CHN Energy Guangdong Branch’s Yingde 120MW Agriculture-Solar Complementary Project Approved for Registration
On February 1, the 120MW agriculture-solar complementary project, launched by CHN Energy Guangdong Branch in Hengshitang Town, Yingde City, was approved to be registered by the Yingde Municipal Development and Reform Bureau.
Located in Hengshitang Town, Yingde City, the project plans to be built in the form of “planting under solar panels used to generate electricity”. With a total investment of 540 million yuan, it will connect to the grid in full amount. When completed, the project is estimated to provide clean electricity of 125 million kWh per year. Compared to a coal-fired power plant with the same capacity, it can annually save 67,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 178,000 tons, thus creating remarkable economic, environmental and social benefits.
