China Energy is vigorously promoting the innovation-driven development strategy and making continuous efforts to improve its technological innovation system and advance major technological research projects. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), China Energy achieved a number of key results in scientific and technological innovation.
First, in terms of national science and technology awards, China Energy won 13 National Science and Technology Progress Awards, including three First Prizes (one to be announced) and 10 Second Prizes, ranking among the top in centrally administered state-owned enterprises, and obtained 10 national patents, including two China Patent Gold Awards and one China Patent Silver Award.
Second, in terms of provincial/ministerial-level awards, it won 476 prizes at the provincial/ministerial level or issued by industry associations, including 40 first prizes for research projects in which it played the lead role.
Third, in terms of patent licensing, the company obtained licensing for 12,902 patents, including 2,987 invention patents.
Fourth, in terms of technical standards, it issued one international standard and launched formulation for another two, and released 90 national standards and 96 industry standards.
