Recently, the 60MW electrochemical energy storage project of the 1-2 and 6-7 generation units at Guangdong Taishan Power Plant under CHN Energy, the largest electrochemical energy storage auxiliary frequency modulation program among China’s coal-fired power plants, was officially put into operation. The project can further enhance the generation units’ comprehensive frequency modulation capacity, laying a solid foundation for the power plant to play a role as a “ballast” and “stabilizer” for energy supply in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.Maintenance personnel conducting parameter testing and logic optimization in the centralized control moduleCovering an area of about 6,000 square meters, the project adopts high-capacity lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage and high-voltage cascade technology. On April 26th, the new energy photovoltaic project phase 1 in Ningxia Tengger Desert under CHN Energy was officially put into operation and had grid-connected capacity of 1GW.
